Pete Huttlinger Videos

In April 2007 I had the opportunity to do video for a joint show with Antsy McClain and world-renowned acoustic guitar master Pete Huttlinger.  The show was the last show of the Eddie Mattingly produced Acoustic Guitar Master Series 7th season, which takes place in Elizabethtown, KY.

Pete Huttlinger attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston where such musical artists as Quincy Jones, Melissa Etheridge, Brandford Marsalis and others graduated from. It was there that Pete discovered his knack for music theory and harmony.  He graduated cum laude in 1984 and then moved to Nashville where he became a top-notch studio musician, band leader, composer, songwriter and sideman.  In 1994 he joined John Denver's band and toured, recorded and performed with him until John Denver's untimely death in 1997.  In 2000, he competed against 37 other guitarists in Winfield, KS at the National Fingerpicker Guitar Championship and was declared the National Champion that year.  More bio information can be seen at his website www.petehuttlinger.com.

Pete has recently released a new CD called "Things Are Looking Up", which can be purchased from his website. Click on the album cover below to listen to samples from this excellent CD.

Following are links to four videos of him performing at the Elizabethtown show as well as one with him performing with Antsy McClain.  Nashville keyboardist Jeff Taylor joins Pete on one of the solo pieces as well as with Antsy.
