Dear Friends--
Been working on your Christmas present for quite a few weeks now, and today they're finally done (see link below):
"Kekko Desu" MP3 mission song
With this you can revel with your families in the joy of what once was OUR lives... unique perspectives on a hard (but rewarding) time brought alive by creative missionaries. If you retain any information "lost to time" that you might recall about the specifics of either one are greatly appreciated.
Here's what I know: I pulled "Kekko Desu" from a VERY old tape. (I have many similar performances by Lance Tracy, Jon Abe, Scott Evans, Van Bagley, Jon Woodbury, William Pulsipher, and many others.) I didn't even know the song was on that tape-- it occupied a little corner and completely surprised me. The tape only had a number on it and no details. The song took me about two weeks to pull off and engineer and master to the point you can actually hear the lyrics:
"Kekko Desu"
(Sung to the tune of "Jingle Bells")
We 'dendo' round the town
On our cruddy bikes
We go everywhere
We dendo where we like
We knock on every door
We'll talk until we're blue
But when they say "Mo ii desu wa"
There's not much we can do... oh,
"Kekko desu!"
"Kekko desu!"
We hear it everyday
Sometimes we really wish
Shujin would go away, hey!
"Kekko desu!"
"Kekko desu!"
Okusans say it too
When Grandma screams and runs away
You know she's 'kekko'ed YOU!
(more verses follow... Enjoy them all!)
